Description
The Mountfield SP42 is an easy to use self-propelled petrol engine mower, powered by the Mountfield ST120 Autochoke engine. With a 41cm cutting width it’s perfect for small to medium lawns.
The SP42 is robust with a steel chassis and simple to operate. This mower has a 41cm cutting width, and using a single leaver, you can adjust the cutting height to six different positions, between 22-65mm allowing you to cut to your desired length. Clippings can be collected in the canvas 60 litre collection bag with a fill indicator, so you know when to empty the bag. By fitting the mulching plug (which is included) the cuttings can be finely chopped and re-distributed onto the lawns surface as you mow. This adds vital nutrients back onto the lawn surface and saves you time emptying the collection bag. The anti-scalp plate at the front of the mower helps ensure the best quality finish to your lawn and improves airflow to optimise collection. Only weighing 25kg and fold down handles, making it easy to move around and store away.

As online stocks everywhere of the model I was after were disappearing fast, I found one on the Agwood site. I phoned their office to check,the person I spoke to was most helpful and even called up the branch in Dover to check the stock and reserve the item for me.
I completed my online order that afternoon and two days later the mower was delivered.
