Picture this: you’re out in the field, ready to tackle the day’s tasks, only to realise you forgot to fill your clean water tank. It’s a common headache for many in agriculture, but thankfully, Knight Sprayers has a solution to streamline this process and keep your operations running smoothly.

Enter the Independent Clean Water Tank Fill (ICWT) option by Knight Sprayers. This optional extra is a game-changer for those who rely on efficient water management in their sprayers. Let’s delve into what makes this feature so invaluable.

How It Works

At the heart of the ICWT system lies an electrically driven pump, separate from the main sprayer system. This pump draws water from the sprayer’s cam-lock fill point, automatically filling the clean water tanks until a float control inside the tank signals that it’s full.

Common Components

Knight Sprayers ensures the integrity and effectiveness of the ICWT with a set of common components:

  • Clean Water Input: The system draws water from the sprayer’s cam-lock in-feed pipework, with an isolation valve in place to prevent unwanted fluids from entering the clean water system.
  • The Pump: An electrically driven pump handles the task of filling the clean water tanks, with an electrically operated isolation valve ensuring the separation of the clean water system from the main sprayer system.
  • The Tank(s): Knight Sprayers incorporate clean water storage, providing a minimum of 10% of the main tank capacity. Twin tanks are connected via a balance pipe, though some models feature a single tank setup.

Control Systems

Knight Sprayers offers two distinct control system options to accommodate varying user preferences and needs:

Option 1: Manual Selection

  • Connect the cam lock feed pipe.
  • Press the BLUE button to engage the clean water tank fill pump. This action also activates an electrically operated isolation valve, allowing water flow into the clean water system.
  • Once the tank is full, the system automatically switches off, thanks to a float-controlled switch assembly inside the clean water tank.

Option 2: Fluid Control PRO Finger Tip Control

  • If your sprayer is equipped with Fluid Control PRO:
  • Connect the cam lock fill pipe.
  • Utilise the Fluid Control PRO screen to initiate the main tank fill process.
  • Press the designated button for automatic clean water tank fill (button ‘A’). This function remains active until the controller is restarted.
  • A programmed 10-second delay precedes the commencement of the clean water tank fill, which automatically stops when the tank reaches capacity.

Knight Sprayers’ Independent Clean Water Tank Fill option epitomises innovation in agricultural equipment, providing users with unparalleled convenience and efficiency. Whether opting for manual control or leveraging the advanced features of Fluid Control PRO, this system ensures that the essential task of water tank filling is seamlessly integrated into your workflow. Say goodbye to field interruptions and hello to uninterrupted productivity with Knight Sprayers.
