Description
This STIHL HSA 66 is a lightweight cordless battery powered hedge trimmer. It may be lightweight but it’s still able to deliver a high cutting performance while maintaining a constant stroke rate under load, even during tough jobs. The HSA66 has a double-sided blade, wide tooth spacing and new droplet-shaped cutter geometry which holds leaves and small branches more effectively in the teeth for a powerful cut. It’s ideal for trimming shrubs, and hedges in your home outdoor space.
Features
Functional design with smooth surfaces and round contours on the engine housing. This prevents the tool from getting caught on branches, the hedge trimmers are easy to clean.
Soft handle, thanks to the two-hand control device and soft handle with lever lock function and lever, the user always has the cordless hedge trimmer safely under control. With a hanging eye on the handle this allows it to be hung on a wall making it more convenient.
The tip protector, comes fitted as standard. It makes cutting near the ground or along walls easier, whilst helping to protect the cutters from damage.
Double sided cutting blades, which allows you to cut vertically and horizontally.
Scabbard, protects the cutting blade for safe storage and transport.

Excellent hedge trimmer – “like a hot knife through butter”. I bought this to replace my old cheaper brand cordless hedge trimmer. My new Stihl HSA66 is worlds apart from my old hedge trimmer. To me the HSA66 is as powerful as a corded hedge trimmer. I trimmed my hedge in half the time with a much better/deeper cut. My old cordless kept on having to unjam itself and would refuse to cut branches which the HSA66 went through without even slowing down. Much better battery life than my old cordless hedge trimmer. I bought the ‘small’ AP100 battery and after about 30 mins of use it still has 3/4 charge left. HSA66 – Impressive. Cons – it isn’t silent (well it is a hedge trimmer!) and a bit heavier than my old cordless hedge trimmer but not overly so and well balanced. As for Agwood – good price, arrived quickly with no issues.

Having put the hedge trimmer through its paces on a long yew hedge, I can honestly say how impressed I am. In particular, the balance of the machine is excellent, making the job so much easier to make smooth sweeps across both the sides and top of the hedge. The battery power is proving to be more than adequate to cut the thicker and tougher sections. The AP200 battery is providing enough power, with plenty in reserve, after long work sessions of 2-3 hrs. Finally, the cutting blades are well engineered; extremely sharp, don’t jam and are easy to clean. Overall, an excellent purchase from Agwood.
