This STIHL FS50 is a light weight grass trimmer. The FS50 is ideal for trimming grass edges and putting the finishing touches to your garden, along with this it is also great for trimming under trees, and along walls. This trimmer comes standard with an Autocut head which has two lines perfect for mowing and clearing work, mower lines are automatically extended by tapping the mowing head on the ground. It’s also compatible with the Polycut head (sold separately) which is great for thinning work and larger weeds, and the Dutocut 5-2 which is great for tough grass

It features a reduced emission engine technology, a 2-stroke engine stratified charge, it creates a fuel free layer of air between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh charge in the crankcase, reducing the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle. This results in up to 20% lower fuel consumption compared to regular 2-stroke engines and significantly reduced exhaust emissions. It also features a manual fuel pump, a fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button, this reduces the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operation. A simplified starting system, this works by simple setting the choke, pumping the fuel primer, then pull the starter cord and with the ErgoStart this makes pulling the cord a third of the effort compared to other machines.  The running machine then switches off after a brief press of the stop button. Once the machine is at a standstill, the ignition activates again automatically. Thus, the ignition is always ready for starting. Last of all it has a multifunction control handle, which is an easy and thumb operated control, meaning the operators hand never leaves the handle, giving you easier control of the trimmer.

This trimmer is a great recommendation for all domestic users, due to its light weight and multifunction handle, this makes it easy to manoeuvre if you’re a newcomer to the strimmer range.
