The Mountfield 1638H is powerful and reliable, with a 603cc Stiga ST 550 engine and a hydrostatic transmission, this is slick and efficient garden tractor. Visibility is crystal clear from the driver’s seat and the high-performance twin cutter deck always produces a neat finish to your mowing session. Cuttings can be collected in the Cavernous 240-litre container at the rear of the tractor or, after fitting the mulching plug (sold separately) to the garden tractor, grass can be finely cut as you mow and redistributed back onto the lawn surface. They then rot down to release valuable nutrients back into the soil. Either way means you won’t waste too much time in your mowing session having to clear or empty clippings. It also features a washing link, making it easy to clean the cutting deck after each use or between seasons to keep your tractor clean and in good working order.
